Take a Stand to encourage sustainable travel
Businesses in the heart of Bristol can encourage sustainable travel for staff and visitors by installing free cycle parking – just like Queens Square Osteopathy, who took advantage of Life Cycle UK’s Take a Stand scheme.
What do you get if you Take a Stand?
Life Cycle UK can deliver up to 4 cycle parking stands (suitable for up to 8 bikes), free of charge to you to allow residents, customers, staff, visitors to park their bicycles safely. The stands are the classic Sheffield stand, as seen up and down high streets across Bristol.
They provide for free, they deliver, you install.
This is a great way to show the world you are an environmentally and cycle friendly organisation and is a proven way to deter cycle theft.
Why is it free?
The scheme is funded by Bristol City Council. In a sense, you have already paid for it.
What is the catch?
There isn’t one. Stands can’t be installed on the public highway, and should not be a requirement of a planning application.
What do you have to do?
There is a simple application form available from Life Cycle UK’s website: http://www.lifecycleuk.org.uk/free-cycle-parking
