On Sunday 8 July we celebrated the launch of  Gromit Unleashed 2 with an interactive art event on Bristol’s iconic Park Street. #ParkStreetUnleashed saw seven current and former Gromit Unleashed artists given the incredible opportunity to paint, spray and decorate shop fronts and canvases at the heart of Bristol’s independent shopping quarter.

The event was completely free, with visitors able to watch as seven exclusive pieces took shape.

The event coincided with two major cycling events  – the Bristol Grand Prix and Let’s Ride Bristol – happening on the same day.

The seven artists in action were:

The event saw a unique collaboration between Cheba and Inkie. These two Bristol legends brought their unique styles together on a single canvas. Located at the top of Park Street outside the former Jamie’s Italian restaurant site, the one-off piece will be displayed across the city before being sold, with all proceeds donated to charity.

#ParkStreetUnleashed is the first in a series of Art is Central occasions organised by City Centre BID. It’s about encouraging visitors to think about their streets in a different way.

Levy-payers can get involved and get their artistic juices flowing. The Grand Appeal has provided a whole host of materials you can use to celebrate Gromit Unleashed 2, including:

You can print these materials out and use them for free!
