Best Dog-Friendly Places in the City Centre

The sun is shining (for the time being!) and the weekend is nearly here, and here at the City Centre BID we think there’s few better ways to spend warm, sunny days off than going for a big walk – preferably with a dog or two in tow! If you’re taking your canine companion out and about this weekend be sure to check out these dog-friendly cafes, bars and restaurants for a well earned rest afterwards…

The Stable

Is there anything more quintessentially Bristol than a pint of cider by the river? The Stable don’t think so, which is why this unmissable harbourside spot has over 80 different ciders on offer! Be sure to pop in for one of their delicious pizzas, too.

The clue’s in the name… These Scottish rulebreakers are so dog-friendly they’ll even throw your pooch a birthday party with dog-friendly beer, cakes, hats and plenty of cuddles! You might even say they’re more dog-friendly than human-friendly!

King Street Brew House

Proudly pooch appropriate, King Street Brew House is the ideal spot to while away the hours on a sunny afternoon in Bristol. The huge, communal outside seating area also guarantees plenty of people to give your canine pal all the attention they deserve!

Mud Dock

The perfect pit stop on a sunny day, Mud Dock café has it all: delicious coffee (or beer, if you prefer!), panoramic scenes of the harbourside and they’re 100% dog-friendly! Older pooches might struggle with the steps, however, but we promise the view is worth it…

No.1 Harbourside

Whether you’re after a quick coffee, leisurely afternoon drinks with friends or a top notch three course dinner date, No.1 Harbourside has got you covered! Add to that their staff being potentially the most dog-friendly crew in the city and you’re onto a winner!

Prince Street Social

The sister-restaurant of King Street Brew House, Prince Street Social has the same dog-friendly policy, with a slightly more grown up approach to dining. If you’re heading into the city for dinner, this is the place for you.

The Apple

A Bristol institution, The Apple has a fantastic outside courtyard that is totally dog-friendly. Unfortunately pooches aren’t allowed below deck, but when the sun is shining and you’ve got a cold pint of cider in hand, you won’t want to be down there anyway!
