City Nature Challenge 2023

Bristol city centre

Want to help local wildlife this spring? Join this epic four-day challenge.

Book a city nature walk

We’re supporting the Natural History Consortium for this year’s Bristol and Bath City Nature Challenge. Join residents across the West of England in an epic, global mission to record as much wildlife as possible between Friday 28 April – Monday 1 May.

We’re inviting everyone to share their wildlife sightings from windows, gardens, or local parks – wherever you are. You don’t have to be an expert to take part! Just download the free iNaturalist app, take a picture of what you find, upload – and share.

Come along to one of our City Nature Walks for a tour of the nature thriving in Bristol city centre, from the wildflowers flourishing in pavement cracks to our favourite urban birds.

We’ll be showing you how you can record wildlife as part of City Nature Challenge, which will support local conservation efforts and inform plans for tackling the Ecological Emergency in the region.
