Welcome to the Watercolour Painting Session: Seasonal Bluebells

Join us for a calming and creative watercolour painting workshop, where you’ll learn how to paint the delicate beauty of bluebells in bloom. Led by the talented tutor Holly Foskett-Barnes, this gently-guided session will walk you through the painting process step by step, allowing you to connect with nature and your inner creativity.

In this mindful workshop, you’ll embrace the joy of painting without the pressure of perfection. Through guided techniques and mindfulness exercises, you’ll release expectations and fully immerse yourself in the experience. By the end of the session, you’ll have a beautiful bluebell painting to take back to work and a refreshed sense of creativity.

Whether you’re new to watercolour or looking to deepen your skills, this session offers a peaceful, encouraging environment to explore and create. No experience needed and everyone is welcome!

Come connect with nature, your creativity and the calming flow of watercolour.

More about the tutor: Holly is a Bristol artist and tutor whose art is interwoven with the natural world and wellbeing practices. She enjoys weaving mindfulness, seasonality and folklore into her teaching to provide a holistic environment for artmaking. Nature is often brought into the classroom, as Holly creates still-life displays from seasonal foraged plants, to encourage creative observations and nature connection. Holly loves to share her 10+ years of studio experience painting and drawing with others. Her teaching style is grounded, warm and personal, responding to everyone’s individual needs. She offers a process-based approach, which focuses on the enjoyment and richness of artmaking, rather than an outcome or product.

More about the venue: The Bristol Folk House is an adult education centre providing a variety of part-time day and evening courses and workshops for over 18’s.
