December Cleansing Report

December rounded up a very busy year for our city centre cleansing team, with an astounding 2334 items of graffiti removed from over 1201 locations throughout 2022.

The cleansing team continued their tremendous efforts during December and the Christmas period working through the early hours to ensure the city centre is looking pristine.

The team focused on cleansing the pedestrian areas around the Bristol Hippodrome and Bristol Old Vic ready to welcome panto and theatre visitors. In addition, the team also ensured the pavements outside hotels, hospitality and retail businesses within the BID area were kept clean and inviting for everyone coming to the city centre for their Christmas shopping and festive get-togethers.

This month the team removed 132 individual items of graffiti from 94 locations. The team are working very hard to remove unwanted graffiti promptly and efficiently and you can help by reporting illegal graffiti to the police via their online reporting system.
