Our Bristol City Centre BID Safeguarding Marshals continue to keep people safe on a night out, support local businesses and aid the police.

From midnight to 5am every Friday and Saturday (as well as other busy nights over the Christmas period and Bank Holidays) they are on duty around Clifton Triangle, Queen’s Road, Park Street, College Green, Frogmore Street, The Centre Promenade, Canon’s Road and Baldwin Street, acting as a reassuring and helpful overnight presence, defusing tense situations and reporting and assisting with any incidents that occur. When police cease their street patrols around 3am, our Marshals are the only visible street presence.

Their work helps to create a safer and more desirable Bristol experience at night, with positive effects that enhance Bristol during the daytime too.

We’ve built some great relationships with businesses, police and the street pastors. It’s a good feeling knowing our work makes Bristol safer and friendlier.
