Elizabeth E. Lightfoot
Forever searching for meaning in the stars, Elizabeth’s beloved father taught her all he knew about the constellations before she grew up to become an established academic in Physics and Astronomy at the esteemed College of Bristol. But as her brilliant mind grew, so did her curiosity.
Elizabeth began to secretly learn about astrology, using horoscopes and stars to predict the future. Totally consumed by her obsession, Elizabeth disappeared, leaving nothing but a final journal entry foretelling how her story ends. It is said that she can still be seen around the old mill, now the Clifton Observatory, gazing into the night sky.
Following in the footsteps of the four legendary professors who inspired The Lost & Found’s other venues, weird and wonderful concoctions and fabulous feasts will entice guests into the Victorian-inspired bar and restaurant.
Drinks and food
Magnificent mixologists will be shaking and stirring an array of star- struck cocktails with twists on classics and zodiac influences to create a menu of ‘Lost’ and ‘Found’ serves, as well as the signature selection which celebrates the five professors. Packed with the mystery of its namesake, the Elizabeth E. Lightfoot signature serve is an intriguing blend of Gosling’s Black Rum with Yellow Chartreuse and Briottet Crème de Mure topped with cranberry and lemon juices, Hickory smoke and edible glitter.
The kitchen will be plating up beautiful dishes that perfectly accompany the drinks, with smoky Josper- grilled steaks, truffle and parmesan arancini and slow-cooked beef ragu pappardelle as the menu’s shining stars. Come the weekend, tables will be filled with bottomless brunch diners tucking into staple dishes of Turkish eggs or brown butter pancakes whilst sipping flutes of prosecco or Mimosas and afternoon tea guests sharing perfectly decorated sweet treats and finger sandwiches.
From protective Leos and artistic Libras to optimistic Sagittarians and fierce Scorpios, there’s something to suit your sign as Elizabeth E. Lightfoot unlocks the mysteries of the universe and opens the portal to the stars.
