October Cleansing Report

A busy start to autumn for the cleansing team

07/11/2024

BID Lead

October saw the return of darker evenings and blustery weather as our cleansing team got to work keeping the BID area clean and tidy for all.

With autumn in full swing, the team covered 314 miles of pavement on their weekly cleansing rounds across the Old City, Queens Road, Park Street, Baldwin Street, and the Harbourside. The team spent October responding to 10 levy payer requests, with deep clean locations including The Granary, City Hall Steps, and The Grove.

This month, the team successfully removed 77 items of graffiti from the city centre. To help tackle prolific graffiti in the city, we encourage everyone to report any unwanted graffiti using the online reporting system.

In October, we welcomed our new cleansing operative Simon to the team. A huge thanks to Tom and Simon for their hard work and dedication, especially during these colder, darker days.
