August Cleansing Report

A busy month ensuring the city was looking its best for summer

29/08/2024

BID Lead

August was a jam-packed month of fun and events across the city which saw an influx of visitors. The team were hard at work this month ensuring the BID area was clean and welcoming for all, including dedicated deep cleans of the Old City streets just in time for Old City Sounds over the busy bank holiday weekend.

With a busy summer period and the summer holidays in full swing, the team deep-cleaned business fronts and surrounding areas to ensure a spotless city centre for our businesses and their visitors. Throughout August, the team covered 400 miles and responded to 15 levy payer requests, where deep clean locations this month included Baldwin Street, Old City and Queens Road.

With an increase in unwanted graffiti popping up around the city, the team removed a total of 77 items of graffiti bringing the yearly total to 1298. To help tackle prolific graffiti in the area, please report any graffiti impacting your business via the online reporting system.

As always, we would like to thank the team for their hard work and dedication to keep the city centre sparkling for all to enjoy.
