Celebrating local success at the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards 2024

Big wins for Bristol Light Festival, The Granary and Harbour Hotel’s HarSPA

09/12/2024

Bristol businesses were hailed a success at the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards this December. Celebrating excellence in the tourism sector across the region, Bristol City Centre BID projects and businesses had a successful night, with awards for Bristol Light Festival and The Granary, and a commendation for Bristol Harbour Hotel’s HarSPA.

BRISTOL LIGHT FESTIVAL

TOURISM EVENT/FESTIVAL OF THE YEAR (SILVER)

Founded by Bristol City Centre BID and presented in partnership with Redcliffe & Temple BID, Bristol Light Festival was awarded Silver for Tourism Event/Festival of the Year 2024. From Friday 2 – Sunday 11 February 2024, Bristol Light Festival delighted 275,000 visitors across 10 dazzling evenings and saw a £8.7m of additional spend as a result of the festival. This award recognises the incredible effort that goes into making the festival a success year after year and celebrating its wider impact on the city. Congratulations to all of our partners and collaborators for helping us illuminate the city and achieve this shining recognition.

THE GRANARY

RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR (SILVER)

Having recently celebrated its first anniversary, The Granary was awarded Silver in the Restaurant of the Year category. Housed in one of the city’s most iconic landmarks on Welshback, The Granary is more than a restaurant, but a celebration of Bristol’s history, architecture, and a testament to the culinary arts. With a menu dedicated to comfort and creativity, The Granary celebrates local, using only the best ingredients from handpicked suppliers. A huge congratulations to everyone at The Granary for this outstanding achievement.

CBD STRESS AT HARSPA

SPA & WELLBEING EXPERIENCE OF THE YEAR (COMMENDED)

HarSPA at Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa was praised for its CBS Stress Not treatment, earning a commendation in the Spa & Wellbeing Experience of the Year category. Nested underground in the former bank vaults, the HarSpa offers a variety of treatments in the heart of the city. Their CBD Stress Not is a calming and anti-inflammatory massage, relieving muscle stiffness and calming busy minds. Wishing the HarSPA team a big congratulations for this excellent recognition.

We are incredibly proud to see our businesses and projects recognised for their efforts and look forward to seeing their continued contributions to making the south west a world-class destination.
