BID Updates - Enhancing - Promoting

Funding available for city centre initiatives

Applications are open for our Enhance and Promote Fund where organisations can receive up to £2,000 towards their project or activity.

04/03/2024

Bristol City Centre BID is looking to support local activity within the city centre to contribute to city-wide initiatives that increase footfall and spend.

Organisations can apply for funding from our Enhance and Promote Fund for any activity or initiative to be delivered between March and October 2024. Our Enhance and Promote Fund is currently open to applications of up to £2,000 to assist in the delivery of projects or events across the city centre.

The fund is open to all organisations wishing to deliver activity in the city centre. To be eligible for this funding, the initiative or event must take place within the BID area boundary. Please see our BID Boundary map to check if your activity and organisation is eligible. Alternatively, please see page 31 of our business plan for a list of streets located in the BID boundary.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

We will prioritise applications that align with our ENHANCE or PROMOTE themes in our business plan. Anyone applying for this funding is encouraged to consider how their event or initiative will align with our themes.

Our four themes include:

  • Enhancing – Delivering projects that attract investment, and talent, create a cleaner, greener, and more attractive city centre, bringing residents, employees, and visitors back into the heart of our city.
  • Promoting – A collaborative approach to delivering innovative campaigns, events, activations, and communications to promote Bristol. Celebrating everything that makes Bristol a special place to work, study and live.
  • Protecting- Investing to reduce, challenge and raise awareness on crime and anti-social behaviour to protect city centre businesses, visitors, and residents both day and at night.
  • Supporting – Acting as a single point of contact to represent levy payers, leverage investment, influence strategy and support the business community.

We are dedicated to supporting projects that align with our goals and values. As such, we will prioritise applications that promote diversity and equality, support the local economy through increased footfall and spend in the city centre, and promote sustainability and responsible procurement.
