June Cleansing Report

Helping to keep the city squeaky clean for summer

01/07/2024

BID Lead

The team has had a productive month keeping the city squeaky clean for summer. With the arrival of warmer evenings and lots going on in the city, the team has been busy responding to 14 levy payer requests to keep pavements and business-front tidy.

On their weekly cleansing rounds across the Old City, Queens Road, Park Street, Baldwin Street, and Harbourside, the team cleaned a total of 372 miles of pavement. Deep clean locations this month included Corn Street, City Hall steps, and the nearby pavements of the Bristol Hippodrome. This month, the team began their dedicated deep clean of Baldwin Street, where they will be focussing their efforts on select sections of the street over the coming weeks and months.

The team also removed 89 items of graffiti from the area this month, bringing the total for this BID year to 1182. To help tackle prolific graffiti in the city, please report unwanted graffiti to help keep the city a clean and welcoming space for all.
