March Cleansing Report

The team have had a busy month getting the city sparkling for spring

BID Lead

The cleansing team have had a busy month keeping the streets sparkling clean for residents and visitors to the city for the W.E Irish St Patrick’s Day celebrations and Easter bank holiday weekend.

On their weekly cleansing rounds across the Old City, Queens Road, Park Street, Baldwin Street, and Harbourside, the team covered an impressive 379 miles! They responded to 14 levy payer requests this month, including Bristol Old Vic, Triodos Bank, and Bristol Bus Station to provide dedicated wash downs and deep cleans. Other deep clean locations included College Green, Queens Road, and Clare Street, ensuring these prime city centre areas were spotless ahead of the lighter evenings.

With a large number of unwanted graffiti tags popping up over the city centre, the team removed a total of 210 tags from businesses across the area. To help reduce prolific graffiti in the city, please report criminal damage to the police via their online reporting system.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Tom and Ashley for their continuous hard work and for facing their daily duties with a cheerful attitude. Their hard work never goes unnoticed and helps the city centre be a fresher, friendlier space for all.

For any cleansing requests, please get in touch.
