May Cleansing Report

A busy month for the team ahead of bank holiday weekends and sunny spells.

BID Lead

May was a busy month for the cleansing team as they kept Bristol spotless across bank holiday weekends and the long-awaited lighter evenings and sunny spells.

Our incredible team got to work on their weekly cleansing rounds across the Old City, Queens Road, Park Street, Baldwin Street, and Harbourside, responding to 7 levy payer requests for dedicated washdowns. Deep clean locations this month included Wine Street, Corn Street, and dedicated chewing gum removal along Frog Lane to support an upcoming Bristol Film Office project.

Over May, the team removed 161 items of unwanted graffiti across the city centre, bringing the total for the BID year to 1093! To help us tackle prolific graffiti in the city, please report any unwanted graffiti to help us keep the city a cleaner space for all.

We would like to thank the team for their hard work this month, cleaning over 352 miles of pavement to help keep business fronts and city hotspots clean and tidy.
