In October the cleansing team continued cleansing core BID areas to ensure locations and levy payer premises remained clean and welcoming for everyone to enjoy. The team not only cleansed pavements, but levy payer premises and other high contact and footfall locations. Areas such as bus stops and benches were also cleansed to ensure they remained clean for those using them.

The amount of litter and waste being produced, particularly overnight, is still high so the team is working through the early hours to ensure the areas are restored to looking pristine for the following days.

There was again a notable increase in the number of locations which had been targeted with graffiti and tagging which the team swiftly and effectively removed. The team removed 235 items of graffiti from 112 different locations utilising their specialist skills and training using chemicals to remove extensive and stubborn items of graffiti from sensitive areas. Please report any illegal graffiti here.

As well as removing items requested specifically from levy payers, the team continued their usual proactive work of identifying and removing items of graffiti from various locations around the city.

Don’t hesitate to contact us with any unwanted graffiti you need removing or any other cleansing issues you need support with.
