23/05/2023

Bristol Cathedral and partners are delighted to present Party on the Green, a day of free live music and festivities on College Green on Sunday 18 June, 10.30am – 5.00pm. Following the success of last year’s Jubilee Lunch, Bristol Cathedral would like to invite everybody to bring a picnic and join communities from across Bristol for a Sunday full of food and festivities in the heart of Bristol.

Activities will be available throughout the day from the very best of Bristol’s institutions including SS Great Britain, We The Curious and Young Bristol. St George’s Bristol has programmed a not-to-be-missed music stage featuring local legends Troyka, Mohamed Errebbaa, Kat Lyons, China Bowls, Kalan Chng.

First Bus are also partnering with the event to enable families and groups to travel into the city at a discounted cost. Up to 5 people can travel all day on 18th June for £5 by buying a Group Ticket through the First Bus App and using the code ‘POG2023’.

Very Rev’d Dr Mandy Ford, Dean of Bristol

We look forward to welcoming the people of Bristol to celebrate 650 years of the county and our shared life together, in all our diversity. It will be great to enjoy the best of Bristol’s live music and cultural scene on our doorstep, and I hope that many people will respond to the invitation to join us!

The event is being delivered as one of the activities under the City Centre and High Streets Recovery and Renewal programme, funded by Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority’s Love our High Streets project. It has also received generous sponsorship from the Friends of Bristol Cathedral and Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District.
