September Cleansing Report

A successful month keeping the city centre cleaner for all

03/10/2024

BID Lead

Our city centre cleansing team have worked through all winds and weathers this September as we said hello to a new academic year, bringing a flurry of new and returning students to the city.

With increased footfall throughout Bristol, the team worked hard to ensure that the city centre was clean and welcoming for everyone, especially around night time hotspots for Freshers’ Week and Bristol Cocktail Weekend.

The team covered 356 miles throughout September where they responded to 15 levy payer requests. Deep clean locations this month included Baldwin Street, Corn Street, St Stephen’s Street, and the City Hall steps.

The team removed 99 items of unwanted graffiti from businesses across the city over September, bringing the yearly total to 1320. To help tackle prolific graffiti in the area, we encourage everyone to report any unwanted graffiti via the online reporting system

A big thank you to the team for their hard work and dedication this month to help us keep our BID area clean.
