After a hugely successful 2023, the four day event is back for more spirited fun in venues across the city and tickets are on sale today

24/04/2024

With more signature cocktails, food deals and incredible events, Bristol’s biggest showcase of mixology will be returning from Thursday 26th – Sunday 29th September, giving residents and visitors alike the chance to toast to the incredible hospitality the city has to offer. Tickets for this year’s Bristol Cocktail Weekend have gone on sale today, with early bird tickets priced at £10.*

Brought to you by drink and dining experts, Living For The Weekend, with the support of Festival Partner Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID), the event will provide visitors with four days of drink, food and a whole lot of adventure as they move from venue to venue trying £6 signature cocktails designed by the venues’ teams especially for the event.

Last year’s Cocktail Weekend stirred up quite the buzz, with over 1,000 cocktail connoisseurs shaking things up at 32 venues across the city. This year, cocktail lovers will have even more venues to choose from. The first 22 bars have been revealed today with even more to follow in the run up to the event. This year’s venues will include Blame Gloria, Bambalan, The Botanist, Clayton Hotel Bristol, Death Disco, The Cocktail Club (City centre and the Triangle locations), Dirty Martini, Hotel Du Vin, Flight Club, 6 O’clock Gin at the Glassboat, Loose Cannon, Filthy XIII, Flour & Ash, Harbour House, The Lost & Found, Rick’s, Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Milk Thistle, Hyde & Co, The Raven, Tonight Josephine and many more.

Bristol Cocktail Weekend is not just about the drinks; venues across the city will also be offering deals on selected dishes, to keep wristband wearers fed throughout the weekend.

This year, the Bristol Cocktail Weekend Hub at Bambalan is sponsored by Hendrick’s Gin, where ticket holders will be able to swap their e-ticket for a wristband, giving them access to £6 signature cocktails in every participating venue. As well as a wristband, festival goers can also collect their festival guidebook, containing all the need-to-know information for the weekend ahead, and a complimentary sample from Hendricks. All participating venues will also be creating a no-alcohol version of their signature cocktail, which will be priced at £5.

Last year’s Bristol Cocktail Weekend was a huge success and encouraged both residents and visitors to Bristol alike to venture to new venues, with the post-event survey revealing 87% said they had visited venues for the first time as a result of the festival, and 97% saying that they had tried something new.

Bristol Cocktail Weekend’s Founder and Director, Alex Nicholson-Evans, said:

“We were really thrilled by the success of last year’s inaugural event! This year will be bigger and even better, with more venues, more signature cocktails and more fantastic food deals for people to enjoy. Cocktail lovers can expect some exciting & unique events taking place across the weekend too, and we can’t wait to reveal more about the Weekend.”

Vicky Lee, Head of Bristol City Centre BID, said:

”Bristol Cocktail Weekend is such a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors alike to explore the city and some of its finest hospitality venues. Bristol is known nationally for its incredible food and drink scene, and this is a fantastic time to showcase the best of what we have to offer. The event serves as a reminder of just how lucky we are to have such a variety of world-class venues on our doorstep, and provides an opportunity to support our city’s hospitality heroes, whilst also enjoying the city.”

Tickets are on sale now, with an early bird deal on Design My Night, and tickets starting from just £10*. Ticket holders will be entitled to all of the food and drink offers as part of the festival, as well as a copy of the festival guide and access to events programme and the Hendrick’s sponsor hub.

The main event starts when the first venue opens on Thursday 26th September and runs until the last venue closes on Sunday 29th September. Wristbands are valid for the whole long weekend, allowing guests to dip into the festival for just one evening of cocktail sipping or enjoy all four days exploring venues. More information can be found in the Festival Guide. Please drink responsibly. Tickets are non-refundable.

Bristol Cocktail Weekend is an 18+ event. This year’s festival is being sponsored by Hendrick’s Gin, Axia Spirit, Jack Daniel’s, Diplomatico Rum, El Jimador, Giffard and St Lucia Distillers.
