THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR THE BIG BRISTOL CHRISTMAS SWITCH ON 2024

The Christmas period is fast approaching, and we are once again bringing our festive lights to the streets of Bristol for 2024.

31/10/2024

A perfect attraction for festive photos or a seasonal trip to town with the whole family, our Christmas lights will adorn iconic Bristol locations including King Street, College Green and Park Street – back with its showstopping festoon lighting!

Corn Street’s Chandelier-style streetlights will also be making a return, alongside Christmas baubles, festoon lighting and tree lights across Queens Road and Welsh Back, ensuring the city centre is more festive than ever before.

Baldwin Street will be debuting fairy light displays to illuminate your dining experience, and Narrow Quay and Upper Maudlin Street will also be spreading the Christmas cheer.

Prepare for your Christmas shopping experience to be illuminated by a dazzling display of lights suspended from the trees and canopies of Broadmead, with the big switch on set to take place on Friday 1 November to coincide with the opening of the Christmas markets.

With such a magical spread of free festive lights taking over Broadmead, the Harbourside and the Old City, it’s time to grab your coat, and woolly hat and embark on a magical tour of Bristol City Centre.

Bristol City Centre BID’s Christmas Lights will be switched on 11 November – just in time for the festive shopping season!
