Bristol City Centre BID has funded its own Streetwise Support Officer since September 2018. Natalie Hendy will soon join an existing team of Streetwise officers at Bristol City Council and Avon and Somerset Police as an additional resource focusing solely on the City Centre BID area. Natalie’s start date has been reviewed in light of COVID-19 and will be confirmed in due course.

Natalie will be your main point of contact for street-based anti-social behaviour issues. She will visit you to talk through the issues and options, provide support to identify the individual or individuals involved, liaise with other agencies like St Mungo’s outreach team and the police, and even take enforcement action on your behalf when appropriate.

Using her expertise and experience, Natalie will flag up problem areas to the Police Community Support Officers and ensure they prioritise businesses with the most pressing concerns. Natalie will also help BID businesses access new interactive workshops led by Bristol partnership organisation Golden Key that enhance understanding of street-based anti-social behaviour and create a supportive community among those of you affected by it.
