Bristol Light Festival 2025
Bristol Light Festival returns for 2025, dazzling the city from 31 January - 9 February.
Bristol Light Festival is founded by Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) and delivered in partnership with Redcliffe & Temple BID. The festival’s Artwork Partner is Broadmead BID. Visit Bristol, Visit West’s consumer channel for Bristol, is this year’s media partner. The festival is curated by multi award-winning Creative Director, Katherine Jewkes.
Established in 2020, the festival showcases Bristol as the vibrant, playful and creative city that we know and love, offering artists a platform to showcase their work at locations across the city. Each edition celebrates artistic freedom and experimentation, featuring world-premier works alongside some of the best local, national, and international talent. This year, five artworks will be located in the Bristol City Centre BID area. These include a flock of flamingos on College Green, a glittering heart-shaped mirror ball in St Stephen’s Churchyard, and a cosmic pixel installation on the Amphitheatre. Plus, don’t miss the return of festival favourite Swing Song and 2024 installation Bristol Is Always A Good Idea in Queen Square.
We invite visitors to explore the city’s popular and lesser-known paths, uncovering a new light of Bristol with every visit. Use the festival programme and map below to plan your visit.
