HELP MAKE BRISTOL THE CITY THAT SOLVES HOMELESSNESS
#TAPforBristol
WHAT IS TAP FOR BRISTOL?
TAP for Bristol is a way of giving money to help solve homelessness in Bristol, ensuring your donation goes directly to those who need it.
You’ll find TAP for Bristol donation points located in the windows of businesses and on contactless devices in offices, cafés and bars around the city centre, allowing you to make a simple and secure donation of £3 per tap, using your contactless credit or debit card.
DONATIONS
All money raised is divided equally between Caring in Bristol’s homelessness prevention work and grants to other organisations who run projects which provide emergency funding for those experiencing homelessness. To-date, this emergency aspect of the fund has been given to Second Step, St Mungo’s, One25, 1625 Independent People and also Caring in Bristol’s Caring at Christmas Campaign. The donations generated through fundraising are facilitated, managed and evaluated by Quartet Community Foundation on behalf of TAP for Bristol.
Why donate to TAP for Bristol
HOW TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDING
Funding for emergency support is available through grants for local organisations. We are looking for charities that can distribute funds as they see fit, with some key parameters.
The project has already awarded emergency grants to a number of local charities, supporting individuals with their move from street homelessness or temporary accommodation to long term permanent homes, or providing financial assistance with basic necessities, travel costs and mobile phones to maintain connections with their support network.
If you are a local homelessness charity that can support individuals in crisis, please get in touch with the team to find out how to apply for a grant.
