April Cleansing Report

April was another busy month for our cleansing team.

04/05/2022

April was another busy month for our cleansing team with Easter school holidays and families visiting Bristol, spending time within the city centre for activities like our Park Street Easter Hunt. The team continues to work through the early hours of each day to ensure the city centre looks pristine when visitors and workers arrive into the centre.

The team also supported the Marlborough Hill Steps makeover by jet washing the stairs and walls, removing build-up of algae and other waste, as well as unwanted graffiti and protecting the artists murals afterwards with anti graffiti paint.

We continue to proactively identify and remove items of graffiti as well as responding promptly to levy payer requests for removal of items on their premises. This month the team removed a total of 189 items of unwanted graffiti across 83 different locations.

The team continue to utilise their skills and training in the removal of graffiti, using chemicals and specialist equipment to remove stubborn graffiti and use products to help reduce the risk of repeat tagging in certain areas.

We are happy to support our levy payer with any cleansing or graffiti removal request.
